Lemon: We do not want Yu Menglong’s photos and videos to be used by AI, because Yu Menglong is one of a kind to us. AI-generated photos and videos do not look like Yu Menglong.
Yu Menglong: Thank you, my Lemon Babies, for being so considerate and for worrying that my image could be deliberately damaged by people with ulterior motives. That is why you hope that no one will use AI to generate content from my photos and videos.
I also wish I could appear in person again and film videos. Sadly, as all my Lemon Babies know, I was persecuted to death and lost my physical body. Even if I wish to film now, I can no longer do so.
However, if I wish to convey video messages to everyone through “Yu En Transmission,” the only method Ariel and Yu En can use is to take my past photos and videos and generate content through AI.
I personally asked them to do this for me. My purpose is not marketing or creating an atmosphere of sadness, but specifically to communicate to all of my Lemon Babies about the dark industry chain under the CCP regime, how to obtain the key to enter the New Universe, and my stories of reincarnation.
Therefore, the use of my photos and videos to generate AI content in “Yu En Transmission” is done at my request and with my authorization. As for laws concerning portrait rights, I believe that artists are public property. As long as AI-generated content of me is not used commercially—for profit or sales—I do not think there should be any problem.
Lemon: Some people use AI to combine Yu Menglong with photos of themselves, making it look as though they are very close. We find this difficult to accept, and we are not sure whether Yu Menglong would want this.
Yu Menglong: I know that all my Lemon Babies miss me deeply, and I miss all of you too. I still hold our past interactions in my heart. I so wish I could be with you again—to talk with you, hear you cheer me on, and hear you call out words of encouragement. Those were the happiest and most joyful moments of my life.
Some Lemon Babies miss me so much that they have used AI to create photos of us together. I find that very heartwarming. As long as it is not for commercial use, I feel that taking photos with you makes it seem as though I can always remain by your side. It truly makes me so happy.
I loved being with all of you most. Although the entertainment company always arranged such rushed schedules for me, I was never able to stop and talk with you for a little longer.
At that time, the entertainment company constantly exploited me. I had to get up at four or five every morning and work until the early hours before I could rest. I am sorry that I often did not look well, or that I was in poor condition after being bullied. Yet you never once rejected me. When you saw bruises on my face, the warm care shown by my Lemon Babies was the only strength that kept me going at that time.
I truly miss you all. That is why I especially hope my Lemon Babies can join me in obtaining the key to the New Universe, so that we may meet again in the future.
Lemon: When we use AI to create photos and videos of Yu Menglong, does Yu Menglong have any requests, so that we can make sure the resulting images do not go against Yu Menglong’s wishes?
Yu Menglong: Apart from not using AI-generated photos and videos of me for commercial purposes, I hope that my Lemon Babies will use them in positive ways—for example, to support petitions seeking justice for me, to speak out about the wrongs done to me, or for commemoration. Do not use them to attack others or for any negative purpose. I find positive uses especially meaningful.
My Lemon Babies also know that AI is a technological trend. I cannot ask everyone not to use it, because AI-generated results can make it seem as though I am still by your side.
I do not want you to be lonely or to cry. I want you to be happy. If using AI-generated content can bring everyone warmth, companionship, and comfort, how could I bear to ask you not to use it?
My Lemon Babies, we will meet again in the New Universe. As human beings, we are born facing toward the light.
