Yu Menglong Replies: Zhang Jiawei | China's Entertainment Deceptions | Warning to Lemon

Yu En Transmission: Why did both Zhang Linghe and Jin Ze have the same original name, Zhang Jiawei?

Yu Menglong: "Zhang Jiawei" is a label used for performers who come from the black industry chain and have no influential background. There are many "Zhang Jiaweis" in the entertainment industry, both male and female.

Before I was officially launched, I was also called Zhang Jiawei within the industry. When I debuted, I was given the stage name Yu Menglong, and the public was told that it was a name chosen by my mother.

Lemon: According to public records, Yu was never listed as being part of the Zhu Yu production team, right?

Yu Menglong: I hope everyone develops the habit of not using information released by China's entertainment industry to verify the information I share. The moment you do that, you've already fallen into the trap.

If the industry wants to conceal the truth, the information it releases will naturally be false.

Only industry-paid commentators and online propagandists want people to treat official entertainment-industry information as the standard and use it to challenge the information shared through Yu En Transmission.

I hope everyone avoids approaching these issues with that mindset.

The drama that Tian Xiwei and I joined together—the one now known as Zhu Yu—was the same project I mentioned during a livestream in February 2023 (see the screenshot in “Zhang Linghe in Peril” ). At that time, we already knew we would be working together on a drama, but I did not know any specific details, and my manager did not tell me.

I joined the production and filmed with Tian Xiwei from December 2024 to April 2025. At the time, there was a script but no finalized title. The production team was still deciding on a name.

Later, official announcements stated that Zhang Linghe was filming the project, while rumors were simultaneously circulated elsewhere suggesting that I was filming it. Public opinion was being tested from both directions. If Zhang Linghe generated greater popularity, he would take over the role.

After I was persecuted to death, the role was reassigned to Zhang Linghe.

The support campaign launched by Lemon fans and the Yu Family Army in seeking justice for me gained significant attention and created pressure on the CCP.

As a result, under CCP pressure, the drama's original title—which I never knew—was changed to Zhu Yu before its approval process, around January of this year. The deeper meaning behind the title was "Driving Out Yu."

Lemon: Did the CCP change the title in order to ban Yu?

Yu Menglong: Changing the drama's title was only the first step in suppressing me. The second step was summoning Lemon fans to police stations for so-called "tea talks"—a form of intimidation and harassment. This has already happened. What concerns us most is the third step: the persecution of fans, including the possibility of people being harmed or losing their lives.

So I want to remind Lemon fans in mainland China once again: please stay safe. Let overseas Lemon fans and the Yu Family Army speak out and show support on your behalf.

I do not want to see any of you placed in danger or lose your lives for any reason.

No matter how much you think you understand the CCP's methods, there is always more to learn. One of its common tactics is to make an example out of a few people in order to intimidate many others.

Please protect yourselves.

I do not want the day to come when I must lead the Dragon Clan to rescue your souls as well.
